(a) Ans: 161cm^2

Length → 35 ÷ 5 = 7
Breadth → 24.6 ÷ 5 = 4.92
≈ 4
Breadth left → 24.6cm - (5cm × 4) = 4.6cm
Area left → 4.6cm × 35cm = 161cm^2

(b) Ans: 28

No. of squares cut out → 7 × 4 = 28
