Welcome to Genius Plus Academy.
Your child's place is confirmed. Here's everything you need to know — and what to expect next.
Hi there, and welcome to our family 👋
Thank you for entrusting your child's Math journey to us. Whether you found us through a friend, a Google search, or a quiet moment of desperation at the dining table — we're so glad you did.
"When I started Genius Plus Academy, I made one promise to myself: every student in my class would be truly seen — not as a grade, but as a child who is fully capable of growing.
That's why we keep our classes small. That's why we write our own materials. And that's why feedback matters so much to us.
Whenever I see a student in class, I think of my own children. I want the same care for them that I want for mine."

Why Students Actually Improve Here
Many students come to us having already tried tuition. Here's what's different about how we work.
We diagnose mistakes — not just mark them wrong
Most centres mark a question wrong and move on. We stop and ask: why did this happen? Is it a careless slip, a missing concept, a method selection issue, or a problem with reading the question?
Every error becomes a prevention rule — a specific, memorable instruction your child can apply the next time. This is how careless mistakes actually disappear.
We train thinking, not just procedure
Many students can follow steps — but collapse the moment a question looks unfamiliar. We teach students to recognise what type of problem they're looking at before reaching for a method.
This structural recognition is what builds the resilience that shows up in an exam hall — not just in practice.
We balance deep understanding with exam execution
Some centres build concept without exam skills. Others drill papers without fixing understanding. We do both — combining careful concept work with systematic checking routines and deliberate timed practice.
Students don't just know Math. They perform under pressure.
What Progress Actually Looks Like
This is important. Progress in Math is rarely dramatic in the early weeks. But it is systematic — and it compounds.
Diagnose and Stabilise
We identify the specific gaps — not just "weak in fractions" but exactly which part of fractions, and why. This phase is about clarity, not speed. Your child may not see a grade jump yet, and that is completely normal. We are laying the foundation.
Mistakes Decrease in Pattern
Checking routines take hold. Method selection improves. The same type of mistake stops appearing. Your child starts to self-correct. This is the most important phase — where real learning is happening, even if grades haven't caught up yet.
Confidence is Earned, Not Given
Students approach exams with a plan. They know what to do when they're stuck. They finish papers calmly. Grades begin to reflect actual capability — not just how the paper went that day. This is what we're building towards, together.
"Give it time — and work with us — and the results will come. The families who see the biggest improvements are the ones who trusted the process, stayed consistent, and kept the lines of communication open."
— Mrs Eileen Toh
We Need Your Partnership
Results at GPA don't come from our teachers alone. They come from a triangle of effort: teacher, student, and parent. Here's what makes the biggest difference.
Protect class time
Consistent attendance builds momentum. A student who turns up regularly — even when tired or unmotivated — makes far more progress than one who attends sporadically. Missed a lesson? The LMS is always there to catch up.
Let us handle the corrections
Your role is encouragement. Our role is diagnosis and correction. When parents re-teach at home using different methods, it creates confusion — even with good intentions. The most powerful thing you can say is: "Let's bring that question to your tutor."
Trust the productive struggle
A child who finds a question difficult is a child who is learning. Resist the urge to give hints too quickly. The student who thinks through difficulty — and gets there — builds the kind of confidence that holds up under exam conditions.
Give the process time
The early weeks are about building foundations that may not yet show up in marks. That is intentional. Trust the process — and if you have any concerns at all, please just reach out. That is exactly what we're here for.
What a Typical Lesson Looks Like
Every lesson follows a deliberate structure — designed to build understanding and independence simultaneously.
Concept Introduction
We break down the core idea clearly. No assumptions. No skipping steps. Every student sees exactly how the thinking works.
Guided Practice
Students attempt problems with support — scaffolded questions, real-time checks, structured prompts to guide thinking without removing it.
Independent Attempt
Students solve independently. This is where exam-condition muscle memory is built — the habit of starting, planning, and executing without a safety net.
Error Analysis
Mistakes are not just corrected — they are diagnosed, explained, and turned into prevention rules the student can carry forward.
What Other Families Say
These are real families who started exactly where you are now.

If Your Child Has Been Struggling With Math...
You're not alone. Many students arrive at GPA feeling:
- Frustrated and convinced they're "just bad at Math"
- Anxious before every test — and dreading what comes next
- Quietly worried they're falling behind their peers
- Tired of working hard and not seeing it in their marks
What they feel walking out is different. Small wins build confidence. Confidence builds effort. Effort builds results. That cycle is what we set in motion — and it's why we're genuinely excited for your child to start.
